Backing up

Over the weekend, we reached a point where the house falling apart around us reached a new low. Now my bath tub won't drain.

Now I know that we are supposed to be breaking ground on the rehab on 5/1, so I am trying to make do without too much fuss.

However, I was a bit frustrated over the weekend so Fun Daddy decided to check la famille into un hotel. There I wallowed in hot water like the hippo that I appear to be...

As a bonus though, we got the side show. There was a peace march in Chicago.... And the kids were thrilled to watch it. It was nice to be able to talk to them about world affairs and hear their opinions. And then be able to explain to them how lucky they are to live in the U.S. where protest and dissent are allowed.
