Making a Mental Note

When you are trying to get the electric company to come and look at why water is dripping into your electrical box during heavy rainstorms via the incoming wire do not be patient.

When you are patient you get treated as if you are a stupid puppy dog who is not aware of what is going on around them.

"Oh Ma'am, we have 20,000 customers without power, your case is not a priority" (DUH, but does it need to take THREE WEEKS)

The same happens when you call two days later...

But after your fourth call and you are testy?

You might want to say this:

"This is my fourth phone call to you about this matter. I am going to have to call the City (of Chicago) and complain that you are being non-responsive."


Com Ed comes and looks at the problem within 2 hours. Surprise!
