Reality

It sounds good when I pronounce that I am sleeping in...

But really, no one can leave me alone. At least much past 9:00am.

The good news is that the holiday was joyeuse and a good time was had by all...

Fun Daddy, extended my membership with Rosetta Stone, so I guess I have to figure out how to get to Greece this year....

I got Fun Daddy the book that the TV series Dexter was based on... it will take him about a year to read it.

The girls got their ugly UGGs and there was much rejoicing. Apparently, for once in my miserable life, I managed to get both sizes and colors correct. Yeah me!

They also got laminated maps of the city with CTA train routes... Hopefully they can find their way around without me needing to consider I am experiencing an aneurysm.

We ate Turducken which everyone enjoyed but I found anti-climactic as I it was sooo much freaking work deboning all of the damn birds. still it was pretty and tasty too.

Parents, children and grandparents all got along during the day. Cinnamon kept her begging to a bare minimum... and all was right with the world.

Christmas Stories

I just finished watching Scrooged and Elf with my girls... and as watching them, I remember the Christmas shows that I used to watch as a girl....

Yes, there was a Charlie Brown Christmas, and Rudolph and Frostie... Even the Little Drummer Boy which I haven't seen in an age but I remember the drummer boy having a funny sneer.

I am talking about weird classics of yore... That were considered classics in their time... and are still to me.

The House without a Christmas Tree

The Homecoming: A Christmas Special... (Did you know that Patricia Neal was married to Roald Dahl, the writer... and they had a tumultuous relationship that lasted until 1983 but that even though they were largely estranged, Mr. Dahl nursed her back to health from a post-partum stroke in the late 1960s)

Movies from TV that I haven't seen in a million years... or since James at 15 was on the air... and Yes, I am that old.

Are these even available on DVD?

Can I even find the Bells of St. Mary's?

I feel a need to see them.t

Keep Your Eyes Open

Despite my disgust at the look of them...

I will be getting the girls those stupid ugly UGG boots.

What does UGG stand for? Ugly? eh. whatever

If I must buy them though, I'll not pay a penny extra for them.

Where can I purchase them the most cheaply?

And what are the chances that I will suffer for getting the wrong colors, etc? As if the COLOR! were the problem. Sigh.
