Day 5 -- A Nice Day

It is soooo nice to have a day like this. Got up, ate a really nice tomato sandwich... the king of the summer breakfasts. Went swimming with my almost 9 year old Soshiebear (what the Angel called her before she was born)Hubby came in... let me get some laps in... 30 in all today! WHEE! Do I feel strong or what!?

The In-laws were on their way to the Y for their Silver Sneakers class so hubby and I took the girls into the village. After wandering through a number of stores so the kidlets could try on the miniscule sized clothes available in the Hamptons, we decided to go to lunch. We went to Sen in Sag Harbor where deeeee-licious sushi was eaten by the grown ups and the kiddies shared both a vegetable tempura and chicken teriyaki. This was done with a minimum of horsing around and NNNOOOO fighting, making lunch a delight.



At the end of the meal the waiter mentioned that Lindsay Lohan would be dining with them that evening. LoLa as Tween Queen is the coolest person they can even think of existing. So they did what any entranced 8/9 and 10 year old would do... they wrote her a note on a napkin. This note tells Lola that she is their FAVORITE star and if she has the time they would be thrilled if they would attend Soshie's b-day festivities this weekend. The Angel noted in her part of the note that her sister is not a crazed fan, so it would be ok. Clearly they will be disappointed... but they were so excited about this potential encounter with THE celebrity of their dreams that they have been on cloud nine the rest of the day.
