My least favorite weekend

Chicago Air and Water Show

Yes, once again it is the Chicago Air and Water Show. It is that time of the year when large crowds gather near the lakefront to watch airplanes fly too low and too fast doing tricks and boats do the same. Frankly, I have always thought of it as a disaster waiting to happen. Years ago, when I worked downtown I used to loathe the week leading up to it. Because that is when all the planes practice their dangerous stunts over the Loop. There is no worse feeling than knowing that there is an airplane zipping past your back when you are on the 20th floor of a building.

It gives me the creeps.
