Hey and it was a good evening too!
Yeah, I know it doesn't seem that way, but we were all mellow Saturday night. My folks had been over for dinner. I was assured that my father wasn't going to pull out his catheter for an unmentionable medical issue (common in order men). Mom was relaxing. Enough to tell me how Barack Obama wasn't an American citizen... which my father even takes issue with because my father knows what it is like to be born in Honolulu before it was a state and has been accused of not being a US citizen as a result.... He was born in 1942. Dad that is... Not Barack Obama. He was born in 1961... two years after Hawaii was made a state.
Anyhoo, we were having fun. I was being goofy. Imelda was pissed off to listen to music that was too loud and not of her choosing and Fun Daddy was being annoyed with Imelda.
This is as good as it gets at my house.

I have had the setback already...
Today's Birthday (Feb. 5). You're strong and determined this year, with a tendency to doubt. Setbacks are part of the process, don't worry about them. Keep on keeping on. You'll win.
Aquarius (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Today is an 8. You're gaining confidence as you continue to check items off your lists. Schedule a romantic evening to celebrate.
Who I share a birthday with:
Laura Linney
Michael Mann
Jennifer Jason Leigh
Barbara hershey
Stephen J. Cannell
Charlotte Rampling
Christopher Guest
Dwight L. Moody (of the Moody Bible Institute)
Belle Starr (outlaw)
André Citroën (inventor, manufacturer)
Adlai Stevenson
John Carradine (
Hank Aaron
William S. Burroughs
Stuart Damon
Jane Bryant Quinn
Tim Meadows
Bobby Brown
I am guessing that none of them (that are still alive, that is...) vomited on themselves this morning...
This means that the day can only improve, right?
eh, at least I voted already and am blogging from bed.

Yeah, yeah... it has taken me two days to get this ready.
I have been experimenting with technology... this has taken a bit of effort as my camcorder saves to a dvd which is in the ever helpful .vob format. Yes, there has been swearing and complaining Chez Maman as I have tried to find ways to convert the file to something recognized by the internets....
After two days work and testing many softwares.. I found the GENIUSES at DVDZip who have created a useful program to help me save as an MPEG. (or a bunch of other formats too...) YEAH!!!! I am SO buying your program!
Now, I present MonAnge and Imelda in their internet cheerleading debut.
That Sophie chick has her own fan club apparently.

Yup, I am a dork
You're The Guns of August!
by Barbara Tuchman
Though you're interested in war, what you really want to know is what
causes war. You're out to expose imperialism, militarism, and nationalism for what they
really are. Nevertheless, you're always living in the past and have a hard time dealing
with what's going on today. You're also far more focused on Europe than anywhere else in
the world. A fitting motto for you might be "Guns do kill, but so can
diplomats."
Take the Book Quiz
at the Blue Pyramid.
hmmm... this is kind of like what I would read... I just tend to stay away from wars in general. Honestly, they are too much of a downer. That being said, I did read her, "The First Salute" about the American Revolution....
Darn, I was hoping to be Anne of Green Gables like Mignon.

That isn't holiday behavior.
What do I think of when I consider Martin Luther King, Jr.?
Gee, NON-violence comes to mind... the Nobel PEACE prize is another?
How did we celebrate at Chez Maman? Well, there was no peaceful protest here.... There was a lot of screaming and name calling.... oh, and the demands began...."Buy me tape, I want to go to the mall, take me to the 6th grade basketball game..."
Well, I, in the spirit of non-violent protest, staged a boycott.
How? No one got anything that they wanted... I was non supportive and didn't buy tape thus leading to the worst styrofoam pyramid project EVER! And I refused to take anyone to the 6th grade boys basketball game even though a fellow cheerleader would be there making goo-goo eyes at someone's boyfriend. I am the meanest mom ever!
Free at last, free at last
Thank God almighty
[I am] free at last!
